Associated Credit Union and UGA All American Malaki Starks Hosting Football Camp for Wilderness Works Children

Associated Credit Union (ACU) and the Associated Credit Union Foundation are proud to host a football camp led by University of Georgia All-American Defensive Back Malaki Starks for students from Wilderness Works. Held at Cabbagetown Park (701 Kirkwood Ave SE, Atlanta, GA) in the historic Cabbagetown District, the event is on Friday, July 28 from 9am-12pm.

“Associated Credit Union is honored to partner with Malaki to help serve our communities and members,” said ACU Chief Executive Officer and President C. Lin Hodges. “We are excited for Malaki to provide the Wilderness Works campers with an inspiring message of resilience, hope and faith in the fun environment of a football camp.”

Thirty students from Wilderness Works will participate in drills and a flag football game with instruction from Starks and assistance from numerous ACU volunteers. Starks won the National Championship last season at UGA and was named a True Freshman All American at his position.

Located in the heart of Atlanta, Wilderness Works is a non-profit organization that provides at-risk youth opportunities to participate in outdoor adventures where they learn to cultivate trusting relationships, develop self-esteem, and exercise the courage needed to make positive decisions.

Headquartered in Peachtree Corners, ACU is the fifth largest credit union in Georgia with branches across the state to serve its more than 156,000 members. Providing low-cost services for more than 90 years, the non-profit organization is ranked as one of the top 150 credit unions in the country. The best part is that anyone can join its credit union.
