Twins Add Carlos Correa With Record Setting Contract

The Minnesota Twins broke the bank to bring in All Star Shortstop Carlos Correa.

Correa opted to go for a short term contract to join the Twins instead of the pattern of long term deals that have been given out this spring.

He signed a 3 year contract for $105.3 million to average $35.1 million per year, which exceeds Anthony Rendon’s per year average that was previously the highest.

Correa is coming off his most productive season since 2016 in my opinion. He had a .279 batting average with 26 homers and 92 RBI while leading his team to the World Series.

This move by the Twins coupled with bringing over Sonny Gray just shows that Minnesotans gearing up to make a run at the postseason.
