R&B artist JKing Drops Off New Visual ‘Type’

R&B artist JKing has just released the second installation off his forthcoming EP ’90s F*k It Vibes entitled “Type.” Directed by Digital By Dash and shot by Ryan Marsh, the savy, yet, charming visual chronicles JKing’s lyrics perfectly with sovereign colors schemes, confident persona, city views and lots of personality. JKing weaves back and forth from a pristine LED room posted on a vintage golden bike to the heights of downtown Atlanta.

“Almost made you believe in me, but that was a lie…” leads the audience to the immediate conclusion that this isn’t going to end well, but always on JKing’s terms. The video is fun, charismatic and picture perfect.

With being an artist for only nine months, JKing approaches his single with the season and a presence of I belong here. It’s not just the visual but he’s pouring his heart out while also telling his baby to take a left at the door. Type is filled with mixed emotions; the ones that aren’t said aloud or we’d sound crazy. But between JKing’s node to Brandy’s ” Almost Doesn’t Count” to the catchy hook, he lands right in the middle of telling an authentic, balanced story.

Working as a Brand Marketer by day and artist by night, JKing refers to himself as the Dark Knight of R&B. See, before the rise of JKing, there’s been a 12-year stretch of entertainment public relations – helping build, publicize and strategically market brands such as the prince of R&B Sammie, Chitown’s BJ The Chicago Kid and R&B Diva LaTocha Scott of Xscape to Dondria of So So Def, Mishon formerly Interscope/ Baldwin Hills and the groundbreaking, hip-hop trio, Travis Porter. And that’s just a few compared to the momentous career King has positioned for himself.

We’re not sure about you, but it’s the voice for us. A serious melodic tone, nostalgic, yet current and with tremendous feeling. King references Brandy, Mario, Jazmine Sullivan and Daryl Coley as just a few of his vocal influences. With his forthcoming EP dropping on Nov. 19, 2021, JKing plans to release more singles to get his new fans excited about his musical ride.
It’s truly a ’90s F*k It Vibe
