Los Angeles Sparks Announce National Broadcast Schedule

Los Angeles will play on ABC/ESPN in four games this season Sparks to have May 19th season opener vs. Phoenix on ESPN

The WNBA announced today the 2023 national broadcast schedule for nationally televised games on ABC and ESPN. The Sparks will have four nationally exclusive games on ESPN and ABC, up from one game in the previous season.

The Sparks will play three of the four nationally broadcast games at home, including the season opener on ESPN against the Phoenix Mercury at 8p.m. PT. Additionally, the home game on June 25th vs Dallas will be on ABC at 12 p.m. PT and the home game on July 30th vs New York will be on ESPN at 1 p.m. PT.

The final national exclusive game will be when the Sparks take on the reigning WNBA Champions in Las Vegas on August 19th where the game will be on ESPN2 at 12 p.m. PT.

“The Sparks are pleased with WNBA’s decision to award the franchise four nationally televised games in the 2023 season,” said Sparks Team President Vanessa Shay. “This is a significant increase from the one game we were allocated in 2022. The Sparks home opener on Friday, May 19 against the Phoenix Mercury will be incredible visibility for the team on a national scale. 

The remainder of Sparks games will air locally on Spectrum SportsNet. A local broadcast schedule is forthcoming.
