Chiefs Lose Mahomes, Chad Henne Helps Lead the Chiefs Pass the Browns (22-17)

What a game at Arrowhead Stadium!

Despite Chiefs MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes leaving the game in the third quarter due to a concussion, the Kansas City Chiefs are headed to the 2021 AFC Championship game.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Cleveland Browns (22-17) to advance to the AFC Championship Game.

According to Chiefswire,

Chad Henne will never have to buy a beer in Kansas City ever again. The backup was tasked with navigating the offense to the AFC Championship Game when Patrick Mahomes was ruled out after suffering a concussion. Henne threw an ugly interception that took the wind out of a lot of sails, but when it truly mattered, Henne ran for 12 yards on a third-and-13. Then on the ensuing fourth-and-1, he hit Tyreek Hill in the flats for a game-sealing first down.

The defense deserves praise as well, forcing a big three and out that gave the ball back to the Chiefs for what became the final drive of the game.

The Kansas Chiefs will host the Buffalo Bills next Sunday, January 24th at Arrowhead Stadium. No word yet if Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be clearly by next Sunday from concession protocol.
