Philadelphia Eagles Have Hired Nick Sirianni As Their New Head Coach

The Philadelphia Eagles have found their new leader. The Eagles have named former Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni their new head coach.

It was announced on Thursday evening and confirmed by Eagles GM Howie Roseman.

Sirianni served under the offensive coordinator under Colts head coach Frank Reich. Frank Reich was the Eagles offensive coordinator when the Eagles won the Super Bowl in 2017. From the outside looking in, it appears the Eagles are looking to help quarterback Carson Wentz returning to his MVP form of 2017 when he was the leading candidate for the award before getting hurt.

Last season, the Indianapolis Colts (11-5) finished ninth in the NFL in scoring (28.2 PPG) and 10th in yards per game (378.1).

According to LastOutMedia,

With Siranni comes an innovative offensive mind that coach under the tutelage of former Eagles coordinator Frank Reich. He is adept to tailoring offenses to a quarterbacks strengths which could come in handy if the Eagles decide to go with Carson Wentz long term. Last season with Philip Rivers he was able to put together one of the leagues most formidable passing attacks.

While not what most fans had hoped for, the new hire has promise. It’s a fresh set of eyes that could really help a franchise that has taken a turn for the worse after winning a title just seasons ago.

Eagles Nation, how do you feel about this pick? Are you happy about this new hire? Let us know.
