Amari Cooper Traded to The Cleveland Browns

The Dallas Cowboys are finalizing a trade to send WR Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland is expected to send a 5th and 6th round draft pick to Dallas in exchange for the wideout and a 6th round pick.

Cooper was expected to be released by The Cowboys to avoid having to pay his $20 million base salary this season.

The 2021 season could have been better for Cooper as he fought through injury to post only 68 receptions for 865 yards. While those are pedestrian numbers for Amari, they would have led Cleveland’s receiver corps by far.

Time will tell is Cooper and The Browns will have an extension in place or restructure but let’s hope this turns out better than their OBJ experiment.
