All-Pro WR Julio Jones Agrees To One-Year Deal With The Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have added another weapon to the teams offense. Former Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones is returning to the NFC South. That time he will call Raymond Jones Stadium home.

According to ESPN,

Veteran receiver Julio Jones has a new home, agreeing to a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Tuesday.

Jones joins a receiver group with the Bucs that includes holdovers Mike EvansChris GodwinTyler JohnsonScotty Miller and Breshad Perriman, and welcomed Russell Gage — like Jones, another former Falcon — this offseason. Godwin is recovering from a torn ACL suffered late last season, and the Bucs plan to take things slowly with him as he comes back from offseason knee surgery, so Jones’ signing gives them the ability to do that.

The Titans released Jones in March, just one season after acquiring him in a trade from the Falcons.
