Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence has tested positive for Covid-19 and has mild symptoms. With the positive test Lawrence will miss Clemson’s game with Boston College this Saturday.

The Heisman hopeful will have to isolate for at least 10 days after the test before returning to practice, assuming they no longer are showing symptoms, according to the rules established by the ACC’s medical advisory group.

If Lawrence doesn’t become symptom free by next Tuesday, he may also miss the showdown between Clemson and Notre Dame on November 7th.

Notre Dame is currently the No. 4 ranked team in the country and will likely be the biggest challenge the Tigers may face all year until the College Football Playoff.

With Lawrence possibly missing the next 2 games, it opens the door in the Heisman race for players like Ohio State QB Justin Fields, Alabama QB Mac Jones and RB Najee Harris.

The Cartersville, Ga native is tied for second in the nation in passing touchdowns and 5th in passing yards while completing over 70% of his passes.
