4 SEC Games Postponed Due to Covid Outbreak

The slate of SEC games this weekend will noticeably light.

After multiple positive Covid tests, the SEC has decided to postpone the matchups of Alabama – LSU, Miss St- Auburn, Texas A&M – Tennessee and Georgia – Missouri.

The biggest issue is that with them being this late in the season the dates available to reschedule postponed games are in short supply.

Missouri already has a make up game scheduled for Dec. 12th against Vanderbilt. LSU is supposed to play their own make up game with Florida that same weekend.

The SEC has come out and opened up to the idea of using Conference Championship weekend, December 19th, as a make up date. I don’t see that being a viable option for the Alabama – LSU game though.

Barring a massive breakdown, Alabama is primed to be the SEC West representative for the Championship game. Florida is set to take them on after dismantling Georgia this past weekend.

Hopefully this will be the last of the postponed games considering this conference literally doesn’t have time for it anymore.
