Trae Young’s 41 Points Leads Atlanta Pass the Wizards (116-100)

The Atlanta Hawks are starting to find their way as a unit on the basketball court.

On Friday night, the Atlanta Hawks picked up a (116-100) victory over the Washington Wizards to move to a record of (10-9). Hawks all-star guard Trae Young has been on a scoring roll lately. That continued on Friday as Trae finished the night with 41 points.

Trae Young’s teammates John Collins and Clint Capela have been making a case for a 2021 all-star bid. Against the Wizards, Clint Capela finished the night with 13 points and 14 rebounds. John Collins finished the night with 17 points and 8 rebounds.

Hawks free agent signing Danilo Gallinari was also key to Atlanta’s Friday night victory. Gallinari finished with 11 points including (2-4) from three point land.

According to Hawks PR, over his last five games (Hawks 4-1), Trae Young is averaging 37.6 ppg, 7.8 apg and 3.4 rpg in 37.7 mpg (.486 FG%, .537 3FG%, .879 FT%). On Friday night, Trae Young also made NBA History becoming the fastest player to knocked down 400th career three-pointers.

The Hawks are off for a few days but they return to the court on Monday, February 1st as they host LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers at State Farm Arena.
