Brave New World: Can the Atlanta Braves Trade For 1B Matt Olson Help Them Win the NL East?

Recently, The Atlanta Braves have finalized a trade for their replacement for former MVP Freddie Freeman.

Georgia native Matt Olson was traded back to his hometown from the Oakland A’s in return for a huge package from the Braves. Olson, who is turning 28 this month, is coming off a career year where he posted a .271 batting average, 111 RBI and 39 home runs.

With the addition of Matt Olson to the Braves infield, there are many questions on if the defending champions can repeat during the 2022 MLB season.
