Poundside Pop Releases New Single “Flamerz 6′

Rising Philadelphia phenomenon Poundside Pop returns today with an infectiously incendiary new single and video entitled “Flamerz 6” via Epic Records. After quietly building a massive underground following out of the City of Brotherly Love, he emerges with a vengeance and a vision like no other.

On the track, an ominous beat underlines his inimitable cadence as the vocals croak over the punchy bassline and trap 808s. He leans into menacing rhymes with magnetic intensity as he repeats the chantable hook, “Make it clap like a handgun. Pop delivers an equally scorching video to accompany the track, check it out HERE

It follows last year’s fan favorite WOCK AND ROLL (PURPLE EDITION). Posting up over 1 million streams highlighted by “BOGUARD” [feat. DJ Drama], it earned widespread critical acclaim. In addition to plugs from Attack the Culture and more, Lyrical Lemonade predicted, “I believe Poundside Pop is primed for a breakout year, and Daily Chiefers proclaimed, “Poundside Pop’s eclectic music style is the perfect blend between sounds of Philly street rap and others in the same region who lean on the artsy, psyched out side of things.

“Money & Problems” also landed high-profile syncs in BET’s Klutch Academy and Real Husbands of Hollywood.

In addition to attracting DJ Drama to his corner, he has earned other major cosigns. Gillie & Wallo from the Million Dollar’s Worth of Game podcast called him one of the hottest rappers out of Philly during an interview with Yo Gotti.

Poundside Pop has quietly gathered millions of streams and views independently, building a reputation as Philly’s next hip-hop hero. DJ Booth named him among “10 Rappers You Should Know Right Now, and NPR included him among its “Heat Check: Euphoric Shuffle Play.” Now, he’s knocking on the door of stardom.
