Paul Wall Hops on That Mexican OT’s “Johnny Dang”

Bay City, TX rapper That Mexican OT is one of the premier emerging talents coming out of Texas right now. Preparing to release his upcoming album later this summer, the Texas emcee gives us a taste of what’s in store with his new single “Johnny Dang” featuring Drodi & Paul Wall out now via Cinematic Records.

That Mexican OT is a rapper recognized for his unique delivery. The fundamental appeal of That Mexican OT’s sound is its organic fluidity; it’s aggressive, energetic, and obsessed with forward motion. The Texas native can turn a colorful phrase and even sell mundane ones with his charm and sheer charisma. That Mexican OT is clear and precise, an athletic rapper who can whip songs into a frenzy through staccato flows and sheer force of will.

On “Johnny Dang” we see the Lonestar Luchador drawing from his deep bag of flows and showcasing his lyrical creativity. Skating over a sinister production backed with menacing keys, the rising star welcomes a guest feature from Houston rap legend, Paul Wall. Devouring each bar with his grizzly flow, the rising star doesn’t falter in the presence of a veteran. The video is a homage to Texas rap culture – featuring an appearance from iconic Houston jeweler Johnny Dang, customized bright red Cadillacs with chariot-style rims, and the ever-essential cowboy hat.
