Dancin’ in Chiefs Kingdom: Chiefs Sign WR JuJu Smith-Schuster

The Kansas City have added a new weapon to their offense that will make life easier for Patrick Mahomes.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Kansas City officially announced the signing of former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. Before the start of the 2021 NFL Season, there was interested between JuJu and the Chiefs, however nothing ever unfolded and Smith-Schuster returned to Pittsuburgh.

The Kansas City Chiefs are adding one of the most productive wide receivers in the NFL to their roster. Despite only playing in five games in the 2021 NFL season, since 2017 JuJu Smith-Schuster statically has been a top ten wide receiver. Since 2017, Smith-Schuster has 204 receptions (9th overall) and 19 touchdowns (5th overall).

Smith-Schuster is going to be a perfect fit for Andy Reid. I believe Reid will use him similar to how he used Jeremy Maclin during their time together with the Philadelphia Eagles.

JuJu Smith-Schuster is set to wear number 9 for the Chiefs. Smith-Schuster wore #9 during his college years with the USC Trojans.
