Underground Goat: Lou Williams Brings Home His Third ‘6th Man of the Year’ Award

Congratulations are in order as Lou Williams of the LA Clippers brings home his third Kia 6th Man of the Year award at the 2019 NBA Awards last night. Lou Will has now tied with legendary 6-man, Jamal Crawford, for the most 6th Man of the Year awards one player has held. Lou Williams had an outstanding season breaking multiple records including leading bench scorer in NBA history.

Lou Williams was nominated for the 6th Man of the Year award alongside teammate Montrezl Harrell, he made sure to share his win with teammate upon acceptance stating “I want to give a special shoutout to my teammate, Montrezl, I just want to share this moment with him. It’s extremely difficult to be a finalist, but no only that, to have your teammate be there with you.”

Lou ended his 2019 NBA season averaging 20 points, 3 rebounds and 5.4 assist, coming off the Clippers bench.
