Say It Ain’t So: The NBPA Believes Fans Won’t Be Allowed in Arenas During the 2020-21 NBA Season

You could say the writing was on the wall for this one. As we continue to battle the global pandemic known as Covid-19, the way we enjoyed sports and entertainment has changed.

Although the NBA is currently trying to find ways to restart the 2019-20 season, the 2020-21 season has a few concerns as well. Player safety is key and the NBA and much of the world are still learning how the Covid-19 virus works and how to be as safe as possible.

During a recent call with NBA teams, NBA commissioner Adam Silver informed teams that there is a great chance fans won’t be allowed to attend games during the 2020-21 season. The league is exploring every factor to make sure players, coaches teams officials are as healthy and safe as they can be.

The NBA is currently preparing for the 2020-21 season to begin in December. A lot could change before then but be prepared to watch your favorite team/teams from your couch next season.
