LeBron’s Late Game Push Lifts the Lakers To Victory vs. the Clippers (103-101)

Tonight the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Los Angeles Clippers in the second matchup of the TNT doubleheader.

The Lakers picked up a big win vs. the Clippers (103-101).

For the Lakers, Anthony Davis was the leading scorer. Davis finished the night with 34 points on (8-19) shooting from the floor. Davis also grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out 4 assist.

Lakers MVP LeBron James sealed the deal with a layup late to give the Lakers a (105-103) lead with under 11 seconds remaining in the game. James finished the night with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assist. Kyle Kuzma was also clutch for the Lakers. Kuz finished the game with 16 points going (4-7) from three point land.

Philly native Dion Waiters was effective off the bench. Waiters finished with 11 points in 21 minutes of play.

For the Clippers, Paul George was on fire but he couldn’t close the win at the end of the game with a missed three pointer. PG-13 was (6-11) from behind the arc finishing with 30 points. Kawhi Leonard added 28 points including 14 points in the second quarter.

The Clippers were without Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell tonight. If tonight’s game was any indication of the level of play we will see in Orlando, we are in for some great basketball.
