Dwight Howard Will Join The Lakers in the Orlando Bubble During NBA Restart

After debating if he should play this season, Los Angeles Lakers big man Dwight Howard has decided to join his Lakers teammates in Orlando.

As the NBA prepares to restart the 2019-20 NBA season at the end of July at Disney World in Orlando, several NBA players had decided not to play due to the Covid-19 concerns and due to the social justice tension surrounding America.

Howard has been in the fight for social justice for years and felt that the restart of the NBA could serve as a distraction from more serious issues. After doing research and looking at how he can use his voice to bring change, Howard has chosen to play and donate his paycheck to his non profit “Breathe Again”.

On Monday evening, TUT’s Terrell Thomas spoke with Dwight Howard to get an official statement from him.

In June, These Urban Times sat down with Dwight Howard to discuss the NBA restart and Howard let us know then that he was 50/50 on if he would play.

We now know Dwight Howard is all in to bringing social change to the light and on bringing a NBA Championship back to Lakers Nation.
