Dominique Wilkins Talks Hank Aaron’s Legacy, Dominique & Hank Being the 2 Most Iconic Figures in Atlanta Sports, the Night he Broke Babe Ruth’s Record

On Friday January 22nd, the World lost an iconic figure as we learned of the passing of Major League Baseball and Atlanta Braves legend Henry “Hank” Aaron.

Hank Aaron was so much more than an athlete. His presence was larger than life. 

On Friday afternoon, NBA Hall of Famer and Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins spoke with the media about the legacy of Hank Aaron on and off the field. Dominique shared how instrumental Hank Aaron was to making sure the Atlanta Hawks went and traded for him on draft night.

Dominique Wilkins shared with TUT’s Terrell Thomas what it means to sit at the top of the Atlanta and Georgia sports icon list alongside Hank Aaron. Dominique also took a trip down memory lane to share his memories from the night in 1974 when Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth’s MLB home run record and more.
