Micheal B. Jordan & Jonathan Majors Deliver Knockout Performances in ‘Creed III’ (Review)

On March 3rd, ‘Creed III’, the third installment of the successful franchise ‘Creed’ is set to hit the big screen. On Thursday, February 23, TheseUrbanTimes was on the screen for a special HBCU VIP screening of the film before its official release.

After dominating the boxing world, Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) has been thriving in both his career and family life.

When a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, Damian (Jonathan Majors), resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring. The face off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Adonis must put his future on the line to battle Damian – a fighter who has nothing to lose.

Following the screening, TheseUrbanTimes’ junior correspondent Selah Viana delivered her review of this action packed thriller. ‘Creed III’ is Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut and he certainly did not disappoint. The film stays true to both the ‘Rocky’ and ‘Creed’ storylines of an underdog finding his purpose, and the importance of Family always being in your corner. Sometime in life, you must let go of the past, to truly walk into your future. The story shows an amazing daddy and daughter dynamic and fully features ASL.
