Storm Announces Regular-Season Finale is Sold Out

No tickets remain for Seattle’s August 7 game vs Las Vegas; Limited seats remain for July 24 and August 3 games

The Seattle Storm announced its final regular-season home game against the Las Vegas Aces—and final regular-season home game for Storm legend Sue Bird—on Sunday, August 7, is sold out. It will be the first professional basketball game sellout at Climate Pledge Arena, which can accommodate up to 18,100 fans for basketball.

The largest crowd in Storm history is expected for the game between two of the WNBA’s top teams. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to catch the pregame ceremonies which include recognition of Bird’s legacy and contributions to the Storm franchise and a special presentation to members of the 2020 USA Olympic Gold Medal winners on both teams. Tipoff is slated for 12:00 p.m. PT and will be broadcast nationally on ABC.

The Storm’s previous home attendance record came during the 2004 WNBA Finals, when 17,072 fans watched Seattle win games two and three against Connecticut at Key Arena en route to its first WNBA Title. The Storm’s largest regular-season crowd also came during the 2004 season when 14,884 fans watched the regular-season finale against Los Angeles on Sept. 18, 2004, at Key Arena.

Limited tickets remain for Seattle’s next two home games before the finale: Sunday, July 24 vs Atlanta, and Wednesday, August 3 vs Minnesota. For more information, visit http://stormbasketball.com, or call 206-217-WNBA (9622).
