Storm increases season ticket base in preparation for return “home” to Climate Pledge Arena
Just 24 hours after making 2022 Seattle Storm season tickets available to the public, over 700 new, full-season ticket membership deposits have been received for the Storm’s return to downtown Seattle and Climate Pledge Arena, the team announced today.
The Storm began enrolling new Storm 360 Members at Noon on Monday, adding to its existing season ticket holder database—which is already larger than 2018, the last season at KeyArena.
“Our new Storm 360 members are excited to see the team back in Seattle and in our new arena, as evidenced by this excellent start to the season ticket campaign,” said Kyle Waters, Storm Sr. Vice President of Ticket Sales & Services. “Storm fans can take advantage of a wide range of season ticket options at Climate Pledge Arena including seat locations starting as low as $475 for the full season.”
Storm 360 Memberships offer fans reserved seats for all 19 home games, playoff priority, the best seats at the lowest prices, and a flexible ticket exchange program. Flexible payment plans are also available. In addition, Storm 360 Members—both existing and new—will have the opportunity to select their seat locations at the state-of-the-art Champions Center located on the Seattle Center campus beginning in December.
The Storm makes its return to downtown Seattle after playing “home” games in Everett, at the University of Washington, and in Florida over the last three seasons while Climate Pledge Arena underwent construction. The last game played in the former KeyArena was Seattle’s 75-73 win over the Washington Mystics in Game 2 of the WNBA Finals on September 9, 2018. Seattle would win Game 3 in Washington to complete the sweep and earn its third WNBA Championship. The Storm added its fourth title in 2020 while playing in the WNBA “bubble” in Bradenton, Florida.
Seattle recorded 15 winning seasons at KeyArena between 2000-2018 and is 209-110 at the venue overall—the second-best home winning percentage (.650) in league history. Since the start of the 2018 season, the Storm holds the best overall regular season record in the league at 83-39, making the playoffs all four season and winning a pair of WNBA titles.
