Rutgers Star Arella Guirantes Talks Being Drafted By The Los Angeles Sparks & More

The Los Angeles Sparks drafted Arella Guirantes from Rutgers University with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft. Guirantes averaged 21.3 points, 5.2 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game in her final year at Rutgers. She shot 37.8% on three-pointers.

Guirantes was a two-time All-Big Ten First Team selection and a two-time All-America honorable mention. At 5-foot-11, the Long Island, New York native can play both guard positions and on the wing.

During her media day with the Sparks, Arella Guirantes spoke on her time at Rutgers, goals for her rookie season, playing for the Sparks and more.
