New York Liberty Star Sabrina Ionescu Records First Triple-Double, Youngest in WNBA History

If you’re not hip to Sabrina Ionescu and all that she is bringing to the game of the basketball, it is time you wake up!

The New York Liberty point guard is turning heads and making WNBA history to begin this young 2021 WNBA season.

On Tuesday night, In just her 6th career game and third of the 2021 season, Sabrina Ionescu recorded her first career triple-double while becoming the youngest WNBA player to notch a triple-double (26 PTS, 12 AST, 10 REB). She became the first New York Liberty player to post a triple-double, and marked the first 20-point triple-double since Lisa Leslie in 2004. Ionescu’s efforts led the Liberty to its first 3-0 start since the 2007 season.
