Bad news for the New York Liberty as they look to continue what has been a great start to the 2021 WNBA season.

New York Liberty forward/center, Natasha Howard, injured her left knee in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game against the Dallas Wings. Howard underwent an MRI and clinical exam at Hospital for Special Surgery on Tuesday, May 25 which revealed the diagnosis of a medial collateral ligament (MCL) sprain.

The Liberty’s medical staff determined Natasha will be unavailable for 4-6 weeks. Further updates will be provided as appropriate.

The three-time WNBA Champion averaged 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds through her first two games for the Liberty; both of which were victories.
