Atlanta Dream Announces Emory Healthcare as Franchise’s First-Ever Marquee Jersey Partner

The founding partner of the Atlanta Dream expands partnership for 2022

The Atlanta Dream have strengthened their partnership with Emory Healthcare, making the healthcare provider their first-ever marquee jersey partner. The expanded partnership was put on display as the Emory Healthcare logo made its debut on the Dream’s jerseys during Wednesday’s (June 1) game against the Minnesota Lynx.

“Emory Healthcare has been a long-standing partner of the Dream, going back to our franchise’s founding in 2008, and we are thrilled to have them displayed prominently on the front of our jersey,” said Atlanta Dream President and COO Morgan Shaw Parker. “The health care and training assistance they provide is second to none in Atlanta.”

Emory Healthcare has been the franchise’s official health care provider since the team was founded in 2008. In addition to the jersey placement, Emory Healthcare has a continued and significant presence at all Dream games at Gateway Center Arena. Emory Healthcare provides sports medicine physicians for all games, as well as health and wellness services to players across the health system.

As a part of the partnership, Emory Healthcare and the Atlanta Dream aim to help create a healthier community by promoting a strong health care focus, such as encouraging breast cancer screening, promoting women’s health and wellness, and empowering women in sports.

“We consider it an honor to be the lifelong health care provider for the Atlanta Dream,” said Scott Boden, MD, vice president of business innovation for Emory Healthcare. “We’re also proud to have our name on the players’ jerseys. Our partnership is an important part of our commitment to providing health services to Atlanta’s elite athletes in addition to the community at large.”

The Dream are a part of the Emory Healthcare sports sphere in which Emory also serves as the official team health care provider for the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Hawks, as well as several college, high school and league-level athletic programs.
