Diddy To Take The Stage For Star-Studded Performance During the “BET Awards” 2022

BET announced Sean “Diddy” Combs will take the stage for a star-studded tribute performance featuring Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, Nas, Lil’ Kim, Busta Rhymes, The Lox, Bryson Tiller, Faith Evans and The Maverick City Choir as he receives the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at “BET Awards” 2022. The performance will be a retrospective of his musical legacy as a producer and artist. Hosted by Academy Award®-nominated and Golden Globe®-winning actor, writer, director, producer, and philanthropist Taraji P. Henson, “BET Awards” 2022 will air LIVE Sunday, June 26 on BET at 8 pm ET/ PT from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The coveted award honors industry giants who have not only significantly shaped culture through their extensive careers, but who have also been transformative leaders that consistently inspire generations by setting a true standard of excellence. 

Past Lifetime Achievement Award recipients include industry legends Whitney Houston, Prince, Queen Latifah, Anita Baker, Mary J. Blige, Samuel Jackson, Lionel Richie, New Edition, just to name a few. 

In its twenty-second year, culture’s biggest night, the “BET Awards,” continues its reign as the ultimate platform to showcase the best, brightest, and most beautiful aspects of the Black experience – celebrating the present and future of Black music, while elevating the culture and being a driving force for social change.

Connie Orlando, BET Executive Vice President, Specials, Music Programming, Music Strategy, will oversee the annual show, along with Jamal Noisette, VP, Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy, who will serve as Co-Executive Producer for BET. Jesse Collins Entertainment is the production company for the show with Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay serving as Executive Producers.
