Respect The Shooter: Dame Lillard Explodes For 61 Points & Pushes Portland to the 8th Seed in the West

What more can we say about Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard. Dame has been a scoring machine over the past two games.

After scoring 51 points and leading the Blazers to a (124-121) victory vs. the Sixers on Sunday night, Dame followed that up on Tuesday night with a 61 point performance.

Dame Lillard became the first Trail Blazer in history to score 50 points or more in back to back games. He also joined NBA legend Wilt Chamberlain as the only two players to score 60 points or more three times in one season.

The Blazers needed all of Dame D.O.L.L.A’s 61 points as Portland defeated the Dallas Mavericks (134-131). In 41 minutes of action, Lillard finished the night with 61 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists.

The Blazers are currently the 8th seed in the western conference but in order to hold on to the spot, the Blazers will need to defeat the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday evening.
