With the NBA returning Tuesday, fans all across the world are ready for the season to start. Teams are getting their last roster adjustments as we know NBA rosters are limited to 15 yards during the regular season and up to 20 in the offseason.

The NBA preseason power rankings came out at the end of September with Brooklyn being number one based on a full healthy roster and including Kyrie Irving, who’s out due to not getting Covid-19 vaccine.

With that being said Milwaukee who is number two in rankings should respectfully take that number one spot ahead of Brooklyn, who they beat for their Eastern Conference Finals spot.

TOP 10 Power Rankings

The question everyone wants to know is can Brooklyn win a championship without Kyrie if he chooses not to get the vaccine. In my opinion i say no, Bucks beat them and can do it again. Giannis is looking even better than last year since fans have seen him shooting the jumper with pure confidence. If Giannis shoots the midrange decent and attack the basket better than anyone in the NBA i say Bucks have a great chance to repeat.

The Lakers who are number three based on big key addition Russell Westbrook, will be looking to win a title this year. Getting Westbrook automatically put the Lakers in the mix to be the best team in the NBA if LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook can all have great chemistry this season.

Phoenix Suns roll in at number four after failing short of winning a NBA championship after a cinderella story. Landry Shamet and Elfrid Payton joins Suns backcourt after losing Jevon Carter (Nets), Torrey Craig (Pacers), E’Twaun Moore (Magic) and Langston Gallaway (Free Agent). Oh and pf course they still have their core pieces including CP3.

Utah Jazz is at number five, as they still have most of their rotation. Jazz signed Rudy Gay, Hassan Whiteside who i think will be a key player off the bench and trading for Eric Paschall. The Jazz will be definitely be a top contending team especially after having two players coming off the bench who were both in finalist for 6th man of the year.

Miami Heat comes in at six as they add Kyle Lowry, PJ Tucker and Markieff Morris. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adeybayo have more grit and grind players around them that fits their team scheme. While the team is waiting on Victor Oladipo to return this season due to rehab from a quad injury, the Heat will be in contention right away.

Denver Nuggets comes in at seven. Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic will have to have another season like last for Denver to contend for another championship run. With Jamal Murray out for some time due to a torn ACL suffered back in April, Michael Porter Jr. will have to step up and help lead Denver this season. Last season MPJ averaged 19.3 and 7.3 rebounds as starter last season. He was also paid $143 million and worth up to $173 million 5-year deal. Looking forward to seeing Denver this season.

The 76ers comes in at eight. With the biggest NBA story of the offseason dealing with Ben Simmons and rather he would be a 76er or not took over media. Simmons who declared he would never play for the club anymore is reporting to the team. The 3-year all star has four years remaining on his contract and if not dealt might as well stay and try and figure out his situation ASAP. 76ers biggest signing was Andre Drummond who will back up superstar big Joel Embiid.

The home team Atlanta Hawks and who shocked the world last season after being 10th seed and firing Lloyd Pierce after all star break and making Nate McMillan head coach changed for the best. Hawks ended up in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Bucks. After a Trae Young injury the kept him out, the Bucks defeated the Hawks to go the Finals and win a championship vs Suns. Hawks adding Delon Wright and drafting key talent in Jalen Johnson and Sharife Cooper, Hawks are looking for another road to championship season.

Warriors comes in at number ten. With Klay Thompson ready to get back onto the NBA court, the Warriors will be back at full strength, don’t doubt them especially with Steve Kerr as the head coach. Lottery picks Jonathon Kuminga and Mosses Moody will look to do a lot for the Warriors this year and of course number two overall pick from last season James Wiseman will look to take another step in his development. Stephen Curry is still if not the best one of the best players and scorers in the NBA. The players around him are young but it wont stop him from doing what he do best and thats play basketball. Can Klay be healthy this season will show if the Warriors can really contend.
