Milwaukee Bucks Boycott Game 5, NBA Playoff Games Postponed

The Milwaukee Bucks have made a huge statement this afternoon. With Game 5 of the Bucks first round matchup against the Orlando Magic slated to take place at 4:10pm EST, the Bucks never left the locker room.

In the wake of the Jacob Blake shooting that took place in Kenosha, Wisconsin where Blake was shot from behind seven times by a police officer the Bucks have decided to boycott Game 5.

While in the locker room, the Bucks players were reaching out to Wisconsin attorney general Josh Kaul to find out what is being done in a demand for justice.

After the Bucks decision to boycott, all of today’s NBA playoff games have been postponed.

Via the NBA,

The NBA and the National Basketball Players Association today announced that in light of the Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to not take the floor today for Game 5 against the Orlando Magic, today’s three games – Bucks vs. Magic, Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers – have been postponed.  Game 5 of each series will be rescheduled.

Players from all the remaining Playoff teams in the NBA Bubble have been invited to a meeting today to discuss their plan moving forward.
