Chairman Fred Hampton Jr. Discusses “Judas and the Black Messiah”, the Black Panther Party Cubs, His Father Fred Hampton’s Legacy

On February 12th, the film ‘Judas and the Messiah’ hit theaters and HBO Max.

Inspired by true events, Judas and the Black Messiah follows the life and legacy of Fred Hampton, chairman of the Black Panther party.

Before ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ hits the big screen this upcoming Friday (February 12th), TheseUrbanTimes own Terrell Thomas had the honor of sitting down and speaking with the son of Chairman Fred Hampton, Chairman Fred Hampton Jr.

During our interview, Terrell Thomas and Chairman Fred Hampton Jr. discussed an array of topics surrounding the film, and the legacy of Fred Hampton Sr.

Chairman Fred Hampton Jr. explained how the film was put together, he spoke on the mission of the ‘Black Panther Cubs’, he shared the importance of ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ being released during the current times Americans are living in and more.

Chairman Fred Hampton Jr. also spoke with us about the legacy of his father, Chairman Fred Hampton Sr. as well as the strength he witnessed and principals he learned from his mother Akua Njeri.
