Despite the delays Disney has seen to both their featured films and Disney+ originals, Disney is moving forwards with plans to release new movies in 2021.
Last year at the D23 expo, word surfaced that Disney was working on a new film entitled “Raya and the Last Dragon”.
According to whatsondisneyplus,
The movie stars Cassandra Steele as Raya and Awkwafina as Sisu, the Last Dragon. The movie takes place in a land called Kumandra, split into five different regions. It stars a warrior named Raya, who is played by Cassandra Steele, who searches for the last dragon in the world, Sisu, who is played by Awkwafina.
“Raya and the Last Dragon” was originally going to be released in November 2020, but due to the Coronavirus situation, it was pushed back to March 12th 2021.
